Mechanical Engineer

OVERVIEW: A Mechanical Engineer in the construction industry plays a vital role in the design, implementation, and maintenance of mechanical systems within construction projects.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
• Completes engineering projects by organizing and controlling project elements.
• Preparation of detailed Study report after receiving the project files from higher management.
• Coordinate with architect & consultants to finalize layouts & statutory drawings.
• Evaluate BOQ / tender drawings submitted by consultants.
• Review and ensure availability of correct, consistent and comprehensive drawings and specification with the contractor.
• Monitor the delivery and work quality of contractors. Drive, review periodically, escalate issues and ensure corrective actions.
• Investigate equipment failures or difficulties to diagnose faulty operation and to recommend remedies.
• Keeps equipment operational by coordinating maintenance and repair services; following manufacturer’s instructions and established procedures; and requesting special services.
• Installation of Fire Fighting system including fire hose cabinet, zone control valves, fire pumps, Deluge system.
• Providing inputs to & coordinating with project lead for preparation and submission of project schedule.
• Manage projects using engineering principles and techniques.
• Plan and design new production processes.
• Produce details of specifications and outline designs.

REQUIRED SKILLS:
• 10+ years minimum of relevant work experience managing multiple construction projects is required.
• Time Management – organized, set priorities, meet deadlines, multi-task and a Team player.
• Ability to be reasonably on-call as necessary to support the ongoing 24/7 operations of our clients which may include evenings, weekends and some holidays.
• Proficient in designing and analyzing mechanical system, including HVAC, plumbing, and other relevant systems.
• Bachelor’s in Civil or Electrical/Mechanical Engineering or relevant.
