OVERVIEW: A Project Manager in the construction industry is a professional responsible for planning, executing, and closing construction projects. Their role is multifaceted, involving coordination, communication, and strategic decision-making to ensure the successful completion of a construction project.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
• Collaborate with Design Managers, Planning Managers, Procurement Managers, QA/QC etc. to determine the specifications of the project.
• Maintain Fire System Network trouble and supervisory log with corrective actions.
• Ensure the design and construction of Firefighting Systems are in compliance with all local & federal regulations.
• Review Life Safety Drawings (AutoCAD, PDF, etc.).
• Lead strategic fab and support project planning for firefighting systems including review and approval of design requirements, leading solutions, and monitoring installation progress.
• Responsible for producing and maintaining detailed project plans, and critical path analysis.
• Identify resources needed and assign individual responsibilities.
• Ensures project documents are complete, current, and stored appropriately.
• Responsible for the project’s commitment to quality standards.
• Initiate and set goals for the project according to the strategic objectives of the organization.
• Set realistic and practical goals for the project. Moreover, also develops appropriate strategies for achieving these goals.
• Spearheading daily operations of the Plumbing Department by scheduling, directing and providing technical support for the site.
REQUIRED SKILLS:
• 10+ years minimum of relevant work experience managing multiple construction projects including 3+ years of working experience as a Project Manager is required.
• Time Management – organized, set priorities, meet deadlines, multi-task and a Team player.
• Ability to be reasonably on-call as necessary to support the ongoing 24/7 operations of our clients which may include evenings, weekends and some holidays.
• Effectively leading and managing project teams, collaborative and motivated work environment to achieve project goals.
• Bachelor’s in Civil or Electrical/Mechanical Engineering or relevant.
